Journal of Internet Cataloging Update

New Columns.

The Journal of Internet Cataloging will have two new features in general issues with an anticipated beginning with 3(4).

Laurel Jizba, Portland State University, will serve as Interviews Editor.  This feature will highlight individuals who are actively involved in developments related to the organization of and access to Internet resources or who have other unique perspectives to offer.  By including an interview feature, JIC can bring to the readers not only a human interest side of Internet cataloging but new developments more quickly.

Ann Sandberg-Fox, Cataloging Consultant and Trainer, is the Editor for a new column on Standards.  There is a tremendous amount happening in the area of metadata and standards relevant to the cataloging and organization of Internet resources. With the Standards Column, JIC acknowledges the importance of standards to the worldwide users and developers of the Internet.

As Editor of Journal of Internet Cataloging I am delighted that Laurel Jizba and Ann Sandberg-Fox are expanding their roles with JIC and adding to the important information that will be documented and published.
